A teacher asked a boy in class,
“If you had five chocolates and I gave you five more, how many would you have?”
The boy replied,
“Ten.”
The teacher said,
“Correct!”
Then she asked,
“If you had ten chocolates and I took away three, how many would you have?”
The boy said,
“Seven.”
The teacher smiled and said,
“Very good!”
Then the boy raised his hand and asked,
“Teacher, can I ask you a question?”
“Of course.”
“If you had ten chocolates and I ate all of them… what would you have?”
The teacher said,
“Nothing.”
The boy replied,
“Exactly… that’s why I eat them first.”
