I ordered 2 of these superking flat sheets specifically because they’re advertised as being Egyptian Cotton and was prepared to pay the premium price for that reason. (At time of writing this review they’re still showing as Egyptian Cotton!). Received these only to find no mention whatsoever of them as being Egyptian Cotton on the packaging or on sheet label. After many lengthy online chats and emails to Dunelm I’ve been told that these ARE NOT EGYPTIAN COTTON, just ordinary 800 TC cotton. Please note the other error in the description which states these may be 1000 TC! (At time of writing this) So to cut a long story short…Dunelm are advertising a WHOLE RANGE OF THIS BEDDING as being Egyptian cotton when it is NOT, they told!
I would return these sheets if it was possible to get a similar colour to the damson ones elsewhere, but I can’t find the right colour anywhere! And these are the ones meant to match the Dorma Paisley jacquard duvet cover, bedspread, curtains, pillow etc…
So apart from all the above, these NON Egyptian cotton sheets are definitely not as good quality as they would have been had they been as advertised as Egyptian cotton. They are a bit stiff and noisy, really wrinkled after washing with hard to iron wrinkles. But I’m stuck with them only because I can’t get a similar colour to the damson ones anywhere! And…I feel I’ve been charged over the odds for a quality they falsely advertised these as being. (And btw Dunelm told me they DO have a 1000 TC EC flat sheet but I can’t find them on their website!?) So…Dunelm, Dorma…whoever it is…need to get your acts together and sort the website mess out and stop falsely advertising these as being Egyptian cotton when THEY ARE NOT!
I spent £795 in total buying the duvet superking cover set, spare pillow cases, bedspread, matching curtains, 2 flat sheets and was hoping for a better experience of shopping with Dunelm…and they sent me out a King size duvet cover set when I asked for a superking…but that’s another story…

Thick sheet but not the silky quality I expected. Local store did not keep these sheets in stock (and some sheets do not have samples so you can’t feel them for their quality) so couldn’t feel for the quality and texture prior to buying. My 500 thread count Dorma sheet from 3-4 years ago is better than this sheet so I was disappointed, especially given the price point. As I say, it is thick but it doesn’t feel luxurious, which I would expect for the price. I have bought a 500 thread count sheet last year but it wasn’t the same quality as my previous sheet hence why I bought the higher thread count sheet this time but I am disappointed and think I will be looking to buy from a different brand.
