Egyptian cotton pillow cases needed one thorough wash before using, it wreaked of foul water & toxic chemical smell straight out of the packet, as did the fitted sheet.

Sadly not what I expected and I can’t have a refund because I opened the packet – only to realise it was 1 pillowcase not 1 pair and I thought it would fit my puffy regular pillow but it is just a longer version of my standard pillows. Should not have taken it at face value – and read the fine details 😔

I’ve just bought these king size pillow cases to match the super king duvet set, washed, ironed and put in the bed. I had to remove them as they are so scratchy and uncomfortable. It’s fantastic they do king size pillow cases to match duvets as this is very rare but the material is horrible. I’m gutted. I’ve spend almost £150 and can’t sleep with it? Will more washes help? Can dunelm please advise what to do to make them softer
